During this difficult time, BTCTE extends sincere well-wishes to all our friends and supporters. Please stay safe and continue to take care of yourself and your loved ones. We look forward to the time when we can be together again!

Although people all over the globe face the same threat, the US media has not covered the impact of Covid-19 on Sub Saharan Africa. Many of you have have asked how our children are faring in Ghana. We have asked our Director/Social Worker in Ghana, Bernice Akromah, to update you.

Following the Covid-19 outbreak in Ghana in March 2020, all schools were closed and BTCTE's beneficiaries returned to their respective caregivers safely. We are so grateful to report that presently none of our 100 children have contracted the virus, and everyone is in good physical health.

The closure of schools in Ghana has forced the vast majority of our children to put their education on hold. Fortunately, some of our children engaged in apprenticeship programs have been able to continue their training. Likewise, the purchase of laptops and internet access by BTCTE has enabled our university students to continue their studies online. With our children now home from boarding schools and living with their own families, in foster or group homes, there is an increased need for food and provisions. In addition to daily provisions, BTCTE has supplied all our beneficiaries and staff members with masks and sanitizer. Although the staff is unable to visit our children as frequently as in the past, they are following up with phone calls to check on the children and educate them and their families on Covid-19 safety.

Now, more than ever, we need your help. Your donation today will go directly towards providing food and necessary supplies to our beneficiaries in Ghana during this crisis. Although our in-person fundraising events have been postponed, the need for donations is more urgent than ever. Please go to btcte.org to donate.

**In addition to monetary donations, BTCTE is also accepting used car donations. Please email us at erobbins@btcte.org for more information.
