Caring for Seniors Like Family

For Edna Owusu Croffie, CEO of E Care Services Inc, caring for seniors is more than a profession—it’s a personal mission.

For 22 years, Edna and her team have provided home health care and adult co-housing services, helping seniors and their families navigate some of life’s most critical moments. Her passion for this work began with caring for her own grandparents and grew into a business after a decade in the banking industry.

While working in banking, Edna frequently saw senior customers struggle to find dependable caregivers to assist with activities of daily living. Customers would often ask her, “Do you know someone who can help?” She recognized a need and decided to leave banking to create a solution.

Today, E Care Services stands apart through affordability, compassion, flexibility, and a commitment to accommodating each client’s individual needs. Edna describes the company in a particularly memorable way: “eCare acts as the long-lost family member who returned home to provide required assistance.”

That family-centered approach appears to be making a difference. 85% of E Care Services' new clients come through referrals from previous clients—a powerful testament to the trust and satisfaction the company has built over the years.

“We all need assistance from each other at one time or another, no matter who we are or how successful.”

Edna recently joined the North Essex Chamber of Commerce, looking forward to connecting and networking with the local business community. She also believes strongly in giving back, including sponsoring elementary school sports events.

Looking ahead, Edna's innovative spirit is leading E Care Services into new territory. She is partnering with another company to develop LuxHavenLifestyle, a luxury co-housing home concept designed specifically for seniors.

When she’s not working, Edna enjoys cooking and creating new recipes—and she loves to dance. If her business had a theme song, it would be “Lean on Me” by Bill Withers, which seems like a fitting reflection of both her philosophy and her work.

Her advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is simple and powerful: Be passionate about your mission, stay focused, and believe in your ability to succeed.
